Single Phase and Three Phase Buck Boost Transformers

Single phase and three phase buck boost transformers are four winding transformers designed for two purposes.  The first is to function as a low voltage isolation transformer with a capacity of .050 KVA to 5.0 KVA.  The other is to correct consistently low or high voltage conditions.  Variation of the input voltage is passed through to the output side of the transformer in the same percentage.  Contact us to specify the size and connect suitable for your use.  Bruce Electric has the experience to offer you the appropriate buck boost transformers, step up step down transformers and other transformers from our ready-to-ship stock.  We also have other products available such as AC rectifiers and uninterruptible power supplies.

Single Phase Dry Type Transformers

Single phase dry type transformers are an excellent answer to environmental concerns.  The transformer insulation systems incorporated into this transformer provides optimal performance, equal to liquid filled designs for distribution voltages of 15KV and beyond.  Safety is considerably improved as these transformers do not require the venting of toxic gases.  Complete AC power centers, a variety of enclosures with accessories, and core/coil units can be provided.  Six coarse and six fine taps, that provide a two-to-one voltage range, are typically found on these transformers.  These taps can be eliminated when single phase dry type transformers are coupled with an SCR power control unit.  With this incorporation, an infinite voltage control is established over the entire two-to-one range with a high power factor.
