The HPS SG3A0015PB dry type transformer is a general-purpose distribution transformer rated for 600 volts and below, designed to supply appliances, lighting, heating systems, motorized machines, and other industrial loads from electrical distribution systems. With a 15 kVA power capacity and a three-phase configuration, this transformer is ideal for medium-scale industrial and commercial applications. Its NEMA 3R enclosure makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, providing protection against rain, sleet, and ice formation.

For non-linear loads, the HPS SG3A0015PB 15 kVA transformer and all standard DOE 10 CFR Part 431/TP1 distribution transformers must be de-rated to compensate for additional heat caused by harmonic losses. For applications with significant harmonic distortion, the HPS Sentinel K series is recommended for safe and efficient operation.
