The HPS SG3C0015KD0C Dry Type Transformer is a general-purpose distribution transformer rated for 480 volts and below, designed to supply power for appliances, lighting, heating systems, motorized machines, and other industrial loads. Equipped with a NEMA 3R enclosure, this transformer is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, offering protection against rain, sleet, and ice formation. It is available in copper and aluminum winding options, providing flexibility for various application needs.

For non-linear loads, the HPS SG3C0015KD0C and all standard DOE 10 CFR Part 431/TP1 distribution transformers must be de-rated to compensate for additional heat produced by harmonic losses. For applications with significant harmonic distortion, the HPS Sentinel K series is recommended to ensure safe and efficient operation.
